Independent Reviews of the Top Stop Smoking Methods – don’t attempt to quit smoking without reading this first

How we rated them?

So how exactly did we come up with this set of programs to recommend?

Well, it was simple really. We took a list of all the popular stop smoking products and put them through an evaluation process to come out with the Top Recommendations.

The first parameter of course is that they not include nicotine replacement as part of their regimen, for we firmly believe that you cannot give an alcoholic more alcohol to break them of their addiction, so how can we possibly expect to give a smoker more nicotine (albeit through a different method) to help them quit.

So that was the first parameter and one that shortened the list dramatically. The second was that the programs used natural supplements, if any, to assist with the cravings and withdrawal symptoms, but also that it did not rely solely on a ‘magic pill’ to make you quit. The programs had to have substance and proper preparatory guides to help you in your goals. These programs have that.

Third, they had to have a good support system and access to the support when you need it. All of the programs suppliers that we sent inquiries to did this quite well, but again, it is the top recommendations who excelled in this area.

And on that note, it was a very hard decision between the top two as they both fulfill all the requirements – and that is why they both receive 5 stars. The pros for each is that Smoke Deter is the easiest system to use, but the customer service from End the Habit is beyond compare. If you have a question about the system, your email goes straight to the person who created the program. Very cool!

So, as with anything, the top two or three recommendations are probably where you will end up. However we have made more recommendations as well for programs we feel are quite good as well. It is up to you to read through the information each one provides and get the one that feels right for you.

The important thing is that you get one!

We wish you all the success in the world.

    Hi Cliff,

The best program for you is the one you believe in. Our opinion of course, is to not use pharmaceuticals, but rather natural supplements, hence why we recommend the products we do.

Review all manner of assistance at your disposal and make the choice that feels right to you and then stick to it. You can be smoke free!

    Chris,

Are there any programs covered by Medicare or Medicaid? Can get my Doctors to recommend —

    Hi Dusty,

Not that I am aware of. Unfortunately I don’t think any non-pharmaceutical products would qualify.

But please check with your physician to be sure.

These parameters seem a bit odd to me. You score programs on whether or not their supplements are natural and what their customer service is like, but not on really important criteria like efficacy.

What are the 6 or 12-month success rates for Smoke Deter or End the Habit?

These are two programs that have been developed by people with absolutely no smoking cessation experience whatsoever. How is it possible that two complete amateurs have come up with programs that rank better than ones put together by genuine experts?

Hmmm….you are making some pretty big assumptions there. And incorrect ones at that.

Let me ask you this. You state that these folks have no smoking cessation experience. You know that how?

And what do you consider experts? Pharmaceutical companies who stumble upon concoctions that may or may not cause side effects. Do you think they are all expert non-smokers, or just chemists?

As a behaviorist, I can tell you with absolute certainty the best way to stop using any substance with physical dependence is to ween someone off of it. With cigarettes this would mean nicotine replacement therapy and then weaning down the dosage. By saying you would remove all of these, you’re going against everything medical science has determined regarding the optimal methods in cessation of addiction.

    Hi Art,

Sorry, but have to disagree based on experience. Folks who try to quit anything by ‘cutting down’ rarely succeed as they are still ensnared by the habit or addiction that troubles them. They can never fully escape. There needs to be a clean break at some point.

Now of course that does not mean cold turkey, but rather careful preparation prior to quitting…but then quitting nonetheless.

Perhaps I am reading your comment incorrectly though. If you are saying that just up and quitting is not the right answer, I will agree, as the right way to go about it is to utilize programs which prepare you to quit.

    Regards,
    Chris
